My Favorite New Toy — The WonderMill Grain Mill!
I just got a brand new WonderMill Grain Mill (wheat grinder) and I am soooooo excited I decided to start blogging about it and all of the delicious foods I am going to attempt to make using my freshly ground whole wheat.
I opened up my wheat grinder and followed the instructions on how to do a “trial run” before you actually grind wheat. Well it’s a good thing I did this. As I ran it empty a bunch of black flecks came into the canister and seemed to BURN the plastic. I was able to get it mostly all cleaned out and it’s fine now but I was a little sad that it left little tiny black burn stains in my brand new canister.
I ground my first big batch of wheat flour and baked a loaf of bread that turned out pretty well. It was delicious but had a little bit of problem with not being cooked all the way in the middle. Eek. I’ll post the recipe later. It was called Honey Whole Wheat Bread and was yum yum yummy!
